The following chart gives suggested species based on soil characteristics of the desired planting site. All oaks are pH tolerant in the 4.5 – 6.2 pH range (most soils in the Eastern U.S.). Further research is suggested if the desired site has pH greater than 6.5. Email or call for further guidance.
